ZooMontana is a zoological and botanical garden located in Billings, Montana. It is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife throughout Montana and the 45th parallel of the Earth.
The zoo spans 70 acres and is home to over 100 animals representing 58 different species, including wolves, grizzly bears, otters, eagles, and lynx. Most of the animals are rescues, and the zoo offers a unique opportunity to learn about Yellowstone ecosystem fauna through direct observation, interpretive displays, and educational programs.
ZooMontana is divided into two main regions: the Asia Region and the North America Region. The Asia Region features animals like the Siberian tiger and red panda, while the North America Region includes habitats for wolves, grizzly bears, river otters, and bald eagles.
The zoo also has indoor habitats with animals from around the world, including South America, Africa, and other regions. In addition to the animal exhibits, ZooMontana has a botanical garden, a sensory garden, and the Yellowstone Arboretum, which contains a large selection of native and non-native trees.
The zoo hosts over 160,000 visitors annually and offers a variety of educational programs and events throughout the year.
