Hole 'N' The Rock is a fascinating roadside attraction located in San Juan County, Utah, near Moab. This unique site features a home carved out of a sandstone cliff, which was created by Albert Christensen starting in 1940.
The Christensen family moved into the home in 1952, and it was opened to the public after Albert's death in 1957. The home is an impressive 5,000 square feet and includes 14 rooms supported by large pillars. It has original furnishings, vintage neon signs, mining equipment, and other unique artifacts from the time.
The site also includes a petting zoo with llamas, emus, and wallabies, as well as eclectic metal and stone sculptures. Hole 'N' The Rock is a must-see destination for anyone traveling through southeastern Utah, offering a glimpse into the past and a fun, quirky experience.
