College Fjord is situated in the northern sector of Prince William Sound, Alaska, roughly midway between Whittier and Valdez. Discovered in 1899 during the Harriman Expedition, the fjord's glaciers were named after renowned East Coast colleges.

The College fjord stretches approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) into the Chugach Mountains. It contains five tidewater glaciers, five large valley glaciers, and dozens of smaller glaciers.

Notable glaciers include Harvard, Yale, Vassar, and Bryn Mawr. The fjord is home to diverse wildlife, including otters, seals, and bald eagles. Visitors can witness stunning views of glaciers tumbling down steep hillsides like frozen waterfalls.

College Fjord is a popular destination for cruise ships, offering passengers breathtaking views of the glaciers and surrounding mountains. The fjord can be accessed via small boat cruises from nearby fishing towns.

It is one of the most beautiful and less frequently visited areas in Alaska, making it a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts.
