Artist Point is a scenic overlook located on the south rim of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. It offers one of the most spectacular views of the Lower Falls, where the Yellowstone River cascades 308 feet down into the canyon.
The point is named after the famous landscape painter Thomas Moran, although it was later discovered that Moran's famous sketches were actually made from the north rim. The overlook is easily accessible via a short paved trail from South Rim Drive, making it a popular stop for visitors to the park.
The panoramic views from Artist Point are truly breathtaking, with the vibrant colors of the canyon walls and the thundering waterfall creating a stunning natural spectacle. It's a perfect spot for photography, picnicking, and simply taking in the beauty of Yellowstone.
